‘~ 때문에’…아니죠, ‘~에도 불구하고’…맞~습니다

조직생활에서 흔히 나타나는 문제점은 주어진 일이 빨리빨리 추진되지 않는 것이다. 특히 부하직원들은 위에서 맡겨진 일을 완벽하게 해내려다가 정작 필요할 때 업무를 끝내지 못할 때가 많다. 그런데 팀장입장에서는 완벽함을 추구하는 직원보다는, 임무 완수를 위해 적극적으로 장애를 극복하는 패기를 갖춘 부하직원을 원한다. 일의 진행에 활기를 불어넣을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 업무 방향이 잘못되었을 때 피드백을 받아 노력이 헛된 일로 돌아가는 불상사도 막을 수 있기 때문이다. 일을 자꾸 미루게 하는 검토사항이나 장애요인은 조직의 안과 밖에 모두 존재한다. 부하직원일수록 이런 장애요인들에 대해서 “∼때문에”의 핑계 대신 “∼에도 불구하고”의 행동력으로 무장하라.
