The unmanned aerial vehicle autonomous swarm control specialist, Pablo Aviation, announced on the 23rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korean Air for long-term technological cooperation in the field of 'Swarm Artificial Intelligence (AI)'. Swarm AI is considered a core technology in drone operations.
The MOU signing ceremony was held on the 22nd at the Korean Air booth during the '2025 Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX 2025)'. Key figures such as Kim Young-jun, Chairman of Pablo Aviation, Lee Won-chan, CEO, Lim Jin-kyu, Head of Aerospace Business at Korean Air, and Kim Kyung-nam, Director of the Aircraft Technology Research Institute, attended the event.
Under this MOU, Pablo Aviation and Korean Air will collaborate on advancing swarm coordination and integrated control platform technologies. Specifically, they will pursue mutual cooperation in a wide range of areas, including the development and commercialization of swarm AI-based autonomous flight control, intelligent distributed mission control, swarm operation systems, AI aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), and aircraft inspection drone technologies.

Pablo Aviation participated in the ADEX 2025 defense exhibition for the first time this year. It presented the 'Swarm Suicide Drone Combat System', which proposes a new combat paradigm for future aviation battlefields. Prior to participating in the exhibition, Pablo Aviation recently acquired 'Volk', a defense manufacturing company with a 40-year history, to internalize Mil-spec component manufacturing capabilities. With these manufacturing capabilities secured, Pablo Aviation plans to expand its product range. The company aims to develop unmanned aerial and combat platforms capable of performing missions on land and at sea, beyond just aviation drones.
