Base Group (Chairman Kim Sung-jib), which owns construction and distribution affiliates including Kamu E&C and Geumyang International, announced that it held consecutive meetings with Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and second son of U.S. President Donald Trump, on the 10th and 11th, and discussed various options for private-sector business cooperation in both Korea and the United States.
At the dinner reception hosted by Base Group on the 10th for Executive Vice President Eric Trump, leading figures from Korea’s political and economic circles attended, including Woo Sang-ho, former Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs at the Blue House; Lee Hyeon-jae, Mayor of Hanam; Choi Shin-won, former Chairman of SK Networks; Choi Sung-hwan, President and Head of Business at SK Networks; Kim Young-sik, CEO of SK ecoplant; Lee Ho-sung, CEO of Hana Bank; and Lee Jun-pyo, CEO of SBVA (formerly SoftBank Ventures). Executive Vice President Eric Trump joined the Trump Organization, a private company owned by U.S. President Donald Trump, in 2006 and has since led real estate development, acquisitions, and the management of the global real estate portfolio. He is recognized for his outstanding capabilities in operating luxury assets such as golf courses and hotels, and has established himself as a next-generation leader in the real estate and hotel industries.

Executive Vice President Eric Trump also serves as President of Trump Winery, which has a wine portfolio with a diverse record of awards. He oversees everything from wine production to marketing and global distribution. Geumyang International, a wine distribution subsidiary, has been the exclusive importer of products produced by Trump Winery since 2017, and has built a relationship of trust with the Trump family through steady business dealings.
During his visit to Base Group’s headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 10th, Executive Vice President Eric Trump wrote in the guest book, “Success for many years to come,” and described Base Group as a “loyal partner,” expressing expectations for future business cooperation in Korea and the United States.
Chairman Kim Sung-jib stated, “We are pleased to have entered into full-scale discussions on new business cooperation with the Trump Organization, based on our long-standing relationship of trust,” adding, “We will make every effort, mobilizing all of our capabilities, so that this can become a model case of private-sector business cooperation between Korea and the United States.”
