Hyundai Glovis announced on the 15th that it has newly established logistics bases on both the East and West Coasts of the United States, thereby strengthening its capability to respond to supply chains in North America.
In the first quarter of this year, Hyundai Glovis sequentially opened an integrated logistics center in Los Angeles (LA), California, and a consolidated warehouse in Savannah, Georgia. The company described this as a strategic investment to respond to the expansion of production in the North American region.
The LA integrated logistics center covers approximately 12,000㎡ and is located about a 25‑minute drive from both the Port of Long Beach and the airport, giving it an optimal location for multimodal transport operations that connect sea and air. Through this base, Hyundai Glovis plans to integrate logistics services such as transloading, air freight, and warehousing & distribution (W&D), while strengthening its own in-house inland transport capabilities.
The company stated that this will accelerate response times for urgent cargo and enable flexible cost management even amid market fluctuations, thereby improving its competitiveness in customer service.
In addition, by expanding logistics infrastructure in the western region, the company plans to establish an end-to-end (E2E) service framework that covers everything from storage to delivery, and to enhance supply chain responsiveness through integrated air-sea operations. The center is expected to serve as a key hub overseeing integrated logistics in the western region.

Hyundai Glovis has also established a consolidated warehouse in Savannah, Georgia, on the U.S. East Coast. This facility is a production-linked logistics base designed to stably handle the increase in cargo volume resulting from the operation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), as well as volumes from nearby non-affiliated customers.
The Savannah consolidated warehouse, with a floor area of approximately 69,000㎡, is said to function as a consolidated logistics center (CC) that centrally manages production and supply volumes.
Savannah is a key logistics region in the southeastern United States, where manufacturing and logistics infrastructure are rapidly expanding around the port. It is home to a concentration of global manufacturing production bases and is regarded as an area where logistics demand continues to rise, from raw material imports to finished product exports.
A Hyundai Glovis official said, “We are continuously expanding logistics infrastructure at key bases on the East and West Coasts of the United States to respond to changes in the global supply chain,” adding, “Based on logistics competitiveness centered on local bases, we will flexibly respond to diverse customer needs.”
