Salesforce held a press conference at the Conrad Hotel in Seoul on the 8th and officially launched Slackbot, a customized artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, in the Korean market. The announcement reflects a strategy to position Slack not merely as a communication channel, but as a core hub of an Agentic Enterprise in which people, AI, and data interact organically.
On the day, Salesforce Korea CEO Park Se-jin redefined Slack as an Agentic Work OS. Based on the vast volume of business data accumulated within enterprises, the aim is for AI agents to play the role of colleagues who provide practical support for tasks tailored to employees’ roles and characteristics.

Slackbot is powered by Salesforce’s integrated data foundation. Its core capability is learning each user’s role within the organization to provide optimized support. Key functions include Meeting Intelligence, which automatically organizes meeting notes and suggests follow-up tasks by integrating with customer relationship management (CRM) data, and a desktop assistant that enables users to manage multiple business applications within a single environment.

Slackbot also integrates complex tasks via a conversational interface. Without separate data transfers, users can instantly handle core tasks inside Slack, such as updating sales opportunities or assigning customer service representatives. Advanced research capabilities, voice input, and a memory function that learns users’ work patterns further enhance the level of personalized task support.

Specific innovation cases from Korean companies were also shared at the event. Karrot Market is integrating its in-house AI agent Karby with Slack for data analysis and exploration of decision-making records. A Karrot Market representative evaluated Slack as serving as a living memory repository for the organization and as a core foundation for preserving business context.
Woowa Brothers is likewise using Slack to maintain close communication with its global organization and external partners. The company noted that it has entered an operational efficiency phase by resolving repetitive inquiries through automated workflows. It expects that introducing Slackbot will help new employees adapt more quickly and dramatically reduce the costs associated with information discovery.

He emphasized that, leveraging Salesforce’s security framework Trust Layer and its robust data foundation, the company will continue providing comprehensive support to help Korean enterprises secure competitiveness befitting the AI era.
