SB Electric announced that it participated in “Smart Energy Week” held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan, where it unveiled its solar power plant safety management solution “Solar Doctor Patch (MLPE-Optimizer).”
Smart Energy Week is an international exhibition where the latest technologies and products in the renewable energy sector are showcased, bringing together stakeholders from various energy industries, including solar, wind, and hydrogen. SB Electric took part in the exhibition for the second consecutive year following last year. The company explained that it is focusing on enhancing brand awareness in the Japanese market and expanding its local network.
At this exhibition, SB Electric operated its booth around its optimizer solution that can detect and manage abnormal conditions at solar power plants in real time. On-site demonstrations using monitoring screens based on generation data were conducted, along with technical briefings for buyers from Japan and overseas.

“Solar Doctor Patch” is a diagnostic solution that detects, at an early stage, abnormal signs in solar modules that are difficult to identify with the naked eye, such as micro-cracks, hot spots, and poor connections. It is designed based on an MPLPE-optimizer that identifies in advance the causes of reduced generation efficiency and sends alerts to users when anomalies occur, thereby preventing accidents.
In particular, unlike conventional maintenance methods centered on periodic inspections, it enables preventive management based on continuous monitoring. It also provides functions that allow real-time monitoring and response to the status of power plants via web and mobile environments.
A company official stated, “Japan is a market with high safety standards for solar facilities and strong demand for preventive management solutions,” adding, “Through our participation in the exhibition for two consecutive years, we have confirmed local reactions and market potential.” The official continued, “Going forward, we will continue to pursue overseas market expansion, including Japan, and we also plan to participate in the upcoming Daegu ‘Green Energy Expo’ to further broaden contact points with domestic and international customers.”
Meanwhile, SB Electric is expanding its data-based energy management solutions as well as its solar monitoring business, leveraging technological capabilities accumulated over many years in the construction and maintenance of solar power plants.
