The Generative AI Startup Association (Chairman Lee Se-young) announced on the 19th that it will hold the “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Startup Meetup Day” on the 20th at the Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) in Tokyo, Japan.
This event has been organized to enable Korean and Japanese startups to jointly discuss and seek mutual cooperation on the “AX (AI Transformation)” issue, which has emerged as the most prominent topic of interest this year. It is supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and co-hosted by the Generative AI Startup Association, the Tokyo office of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), and Japanese venture capital firm Z Venture Capital (ZVC).
The event will bring together eight AI startups representing both countries. From Korea, five companies will participate: generative AI startup Wrtn Technologies, along with Scaionic AI, SnapTag, Coxwave, and Friendly AI. From Japan, Dwilar, which provides an AI-based global credit rating platform, as well as Findy and QueryPie AI will take part. Presenters from each company, all actively conducting business in both Korea and Japan, are scheduled to give detailed introductions of their respective AI and AX technologies and services.
In particular, Min Kyung-woong, CEO of the IT (information technology) company SnapTag, which is based on invisible watermark technology, will use this event to provide a detailed introduction to the “K-Safe Open API” free provision project, which enables companies to insert watermarks into AI-generated content in line with the “AI Basic Act” that will be implemented for the first time in the world in Korea on the 22nd.
In addition, Lim Jung-wook, Co-CEO of Startup Alliance, and Masaki Yuda, Partner at ZVC, will take the stage as special speakers to deliver keynotes providing in-depth analysis of AX issues and the role of startups. During the fireside chat session with key presenters, participants will actively explore directions for generating AX synergies by addressing topics such as the latest AX technology trends, on-the-ground challenges, and avenues for collaboration.
Chairman Lee Se-young stated, “At a time when AI technology is now blossoming in the AX field, the role of startups, armed with speed and innovativeness, is becoming all the more important,” adding, “I am confident that cooperation and synergy between Korean and Japanese startups will lead the future of AX.”
