Hanjin has established a strategic base in the Netherlands to support logistics for Korean products entering Europe. The move preemptively reflects the needs of domestic companies that are turning to Europe as the U.S. market becomes saturated and regulations tighten.

Hanjin held an opening ceremony for its European fulfillment (end-to-end logistics outsourcing) center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on the 15th (local time), with President Cho Hyun-min and CEO Noh Sam-seok in attendance. The center is a 10-minute drive from Schiphol Airport and one hour from the Port of Rotterdam, making it an optimal location for air-sea intermodal logistics.

The center, completed in October, is a “hybrid base” that simultaneously handles B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) operations. It can accommodate both large-volume cargo storage for local distribution networks and ongoing management of products for direct delivery.

The expansion reflects the rapid growth of the European market. In the first half of this year, exports to Poland and France more than doubled year-on-year.

Hanjin plans to provide a differentiated “integrated logistics solution.” It will actively support the resolution of complex local customs clearance and value-added tax issues, while also offering packaging and labeling services that meet the inbound requirements of global platforms such as TikTok and Amazon. In addition, last-mile (final delivery) connectivity across Europe will be operated as a core service.

A Hanjin official said, “This center will not be a simple warehouse but a key solution and partner that supports the success of K-brands in the European market.”
