[SeoulTech x Dong-A.com Joint Planning] Seoul National University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as SeoulTech) operates various support programs to aid the growth of startups, including preliminary and early startup packages, maker spaces, and global collaboration. Furthermore, in partnership with Dong-A.com, it provides global news to assist startups in overseas promotion and expansion, introducing promising deep-tech startups both domestically and internationally.

“Intwin's mission is to facilitate growth through connecting people. I believe the means to achieve this growth lies between companies and companies, entrepreneurs and employees. Thus, we operate various services for corporate and personal growth, including Lecturer Info, which connects lecturers and speakers; Sasurae, which connects mentors and mentees; Vello, which connects overseas personnel; as well as Crowdin, which supports crowdfunding, and Intwin Ventures.”

CEO Choi Se-heon has been supporting startup companies and engaging in various business activities in the startup ecosystem for over 10 years. Originally, he wanted to establish a formula for creating new things rather than starting a business and found fulfillment in helping others grow.


He naturally ventured into entrepreneurship by running a psychology community, organizing meetings and studies, and building a knowledge-sharing platform with many people from his early 20s. This led to the founding of Intwin in 2014, which now supports HR services, education, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), marketing, and overseas expansion necessary for startup growth, collaborating with over 50 government agencies with related demands.

Intwin Provides All-in-One HR Solutions Covering Lecturers, Mentoring, Overseas Personnel, and Startups

Intwin began with Lecturer Info in 2014. Lecturer Info is a service that allows users to set budgets, lecture dates, times, and topics to recruit speakers and star lecturers that meet the conditions. In 2021, it planned and built 'Sasurae,' a mentoring service-type software (SaaS) that connects experienced mentors with new mentees. This year, it is also promoting 'Vello,' a new business that connects local IT and design personnel in Vietnam with domestic companies.

All services operated by Intwin focus on the growth of startups and corporate employees. Many startups face difficulties in HR and organizational management, but systematically solving these issues is challenging. Intwin is building an integrated growth solution to practically solve startups' HR issues by linking customized training programs for employee capacity enhancement through Lecturer Info, mentoring SaaS Sasurae supporting the growth of new and junior members, and the 'Vello' service connecting excellent global talent.


CEO Choi Se-heon stated, “The long-term goal is to integrate all services with human resources as the common denominator. The first step is to introduce AI into Sasurae to enhance it.” Intwin was selected for Oracle's global corporate collaboration project 'Miracle' in February this year, receiving support for related technology development and cloud and infrastructure-based development.

He continued, “Sasurae is a service that matches mentors and mentees in fields such as IT, design, marketing, management, and office work. By introducing AI, it will find suitable mentors in a wider and more diverse range of fields. Additionally, it will create a way to search and manage areas of interest in the form of an AI chatbot, and allow HR teams to hire mentors on a large scale, deploy them within the company, and manage progress and relationships. The key is that HR managers can systematically manage human resource development, and employees can meet mentors hired by the company to aid their growth.”


The AI integrated into Sasurae aims to complete development and enhancement by early next year through the Miracle support project, actively utilizing Oracle's technology infrastructure in the process.

CEO Choi Se-heon emphasized, “As Sasurae is a corporate mentoring platform handling sensitive HR data, ensuring security stability is the top priority,” and added, “To this end, the service infrastructure is built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Security Suite is fully applied. Based on OCI's high availability and multi-layered security structure, the service operates stably even in large traffic environments, encrypting and anonymizing HR data and AI learning data through Oracle Data Safe and Transparent Data Encryption.”

He also mentioned, “Oracle's integrated security management system is applied throughout the process, including access control and log monitoring, creating an environment where corporate clients can use it with peace of mind. Additionally, we receive support for strengthening business capabilities such as global program guidance, AI technology development consulting, and enhancement.”

The host institution, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, also supports global program and support project guidance, administrative support, allowing focus solely on service development. At the end of the year, networking days and other opportunities for global corporate participants will also be provided.

AC Supporting Global Leap, Export Vouchers, and Close Startup Support

Meanwhile, Intwin established a separate subsidiary accelerator in 2021 and is investing in startups, providing close support for startup growth through overseas market development support projects and export voucher support projects. In this process, it collaborates with government-affiliated agencies in each province, local governments including Seoul, and universities nationwide.


CEO Choi Se-heon explained, “The company operates various businesses to support startup growth. Notably, the export voucher support project, organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, provides support for overseas marketing, export-related projects, intellectual property registration, logistics support, etc., with a certain amount of self-payment. Intwin not only helps with market development but also provides promotional and advertising content production, e-commerce platform entry support, and customized local consulting.”


In addition to export vouchers, Intwin provides opportunities for startups to enter markets in Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, and the United States through global support projects of institutions. In October this year, it operated a pop-up store in Singapore for K-beauty companies to support local market testing and ran a support project matching global buyers such as P&G and Watsons to develop sales channels.

Next year, a program providing global practical training and team building tailored to companies for startups wishing to expand globally will be introduced. This program is being prepared in collaboration with global specialized companies and will be provided through export vouchers.

CEO Choi Se-heon stated, “Startup support focuses on global expansion, and acceleration is also being planned in this direction. Recently, demand related to K-beauty, as well as domestic content and manufacturing industries, has been steadily increasing in the North American and Southeast Asian markets. As we frequently encounter the potential and success stories of these companies, we aim to support more companies in achieving this.”

Intwin, Aiming to Be a Guide on 'How to Find People' in the Global Market

Intwin's diverse business aligns with its mission to achieve growth through connecting people. CEO Choi Se-heon remarked, “In the era of AI agents, AI autonomously performs objectives without human intervention. However, dealing with human resources is an area that should be handled by people, and yet the challenge is to effectively combine AI to achieve datafication of people. For example, AI is better at understanding and recommending the knowledge and experience of mentors and the characteristics of various fields, recruiting and connecting them,” adding, “Intwin's business will continue to focus on connecting people, and we will consider integrating the three HR services of Lecturer Info, Sasurae, and Vello to move in a larger direction.”
