The Korean Standards Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) announced on the 27th that it successfully held the '2025 Global Industry Innovation Conference,' a leading event in the domestic manufacturing innovation sector, at the El Tower in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 23rd.
The event, which originated from the 'Korea-Japan TPM Conference' in 1992, marked its 31st edition this year. This conference, under the theme 'Intelligent Manufacturing. Powered by AI & Automation,' served as a platform to discuss solutions and future strategies for digital transformation (DX) faced by manufacturing companies in a rapidly changing industrial environment.
Approximately 400 industry experts and corporate representatives attended the conference. In-depth presentations on the '2030 Future Growth Strategy' of manufacturing companies and the 'Future Direction of Solution Providers' were particularly notable. Key lectures included ▲ a keynote speech by Kim Seong-ho, Director of the Korea Institute for Industrial Technology Evaluation and Planning, titled 'Government Policy Direction: AI Autonomous Manufacturing Alliance' ▲ a special lecture by Choi Jae-bung, a professor at Sungkyunkwan University, titled 'AI Sapience, Korea in the AI Era.'

Lee Seung-ryul, Director General for Industrial Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, praised the conference in his congratulatory speech, stating that "since its inception in 1992, the conference has gathered wisdom for navigating the rapidly changing times and explored the direction the industry should take." He emphasized, "We will systematically support the acceleration of growth engines by combining data and AI with Korea's unique manufacturing capabilities."
Moon Dong-min, President of the Association, stated in his opening remarks, "Intelligent manufacturing centered on physical AI is now an essential strategy for corporate survival, not a choice." He added, "Through this conference, the Korean Standards Association will establish a cooperation base across the industry and actively support the enhancement of AI-based intelligent autonomous manufacturing competitiveness of manufacturing companies by strengthening internal competitiveness, such as the establishment of an AI Convergence Promotion Team."
