The senior housing market is entering a phase of intense competition. Following CareDoc's recent acquisition of project financing (PF) amounting to KRW 32 billion, the senior residence specialist startup Homeflix has secured land ownership in the Jamsil area of Seoul and opened its first senior housing promotion center.

Along with securing the land, Homeflix unveiled its 'AURUM Senior Residence' brand, which integrates healthcare, well-care, and tax-care. By presenting a 'vitality-type senior life platform' that combines technology and emotion, rather than a simple nursing home, it has opened a new market paradigm.

This project, symbolizing innovation in the domestic silver housing industry, offers a comprehensive solution through an AI-based smart home system, personalized health management, and inheritance and gift asset management, as a K-senior residence model. Homeflix plans to establish a senior town network with service coverage within a 500-meter radius centered on Jamsil and expand to major urban centers nationwide.

Meanwhile, the actions of CareDoc and Homeflix were highlighted at the 'Jipconomy Expo.' The representatives of the two startups delivered lectures on 'Senior Housing Investment Strategy' on the first and second days of the expo, respectively, showcasing a competitive dynamic in the industry. At the event, a common message emphasized was that "senior housing is not a welfare domain but a new investment asset," revealing a shift in investors' perceptions of the senior market.

A Homeflix representative stated, "The Jamsil project is the first stage where the Homeflix senior platform will be realized and the starting point for future nationwide expansion," adding, "We plan to set the standard for K-senior residences and expand our business to the global market."
