Seoul Chemical is expanding its cooperation scope with Vietnam’s chemical industry by partnering with major manufacturing subsidiaries under Vietnam National Chemical Group VINACHEM.

Seoul Chemical announced that on the 4th it held business consultations with the group’s management and representatives of its manufacturing subsidiaries at VINACHEM’s headquarters in Hanoi, Vietnam, and signed cooperation documents between the two sides. The meeting was attended by Nguyen Van Luyen, Vice President of VINACHEM, as well as representatives from key manufacturers including Ninh Binh Nitrogenous Fertilizer, Ninh Binh Phosphate Fertilizer, Van Dien Fused Magnesium Phosphate Fertilizer, and Ha Bac Nitrogenous Fertilizer & Chemicals.

The meeting focused not only on discussing general directions but also on coordinating practical matters necessary for actual product supply. Each manufacturing company explained its production scale, core products, available supply volume, and import-export status, while the two sides shared product specifications and quality standards required in the Korean market.

Potential cooperation items discussed included fertilizers such as urea, along with various chemical products, detergents, and industrial product categories such as rubber and tires. Based on its domestic customer network and logistics experience, Seoul Chemical is reviewing items among VINACHEM affiliates’ products that can be supplied to the Korean market. The company plans to specify quality and technical requirements, prices, supply volumes, and logistics conditions through future negotiations with each manufacturer.

With this round of consultations, Seoul Chemical has expanded direct business touchpoints beyond the group’s headquarters to the manufacturing subsidiaries that actually produce the products. In addition to supplying Vietnamese products to the Korean market, the company also plans to explore the potential export of Korean chemical materials to Vietnam and establish a two-way trading structure.

A Seoul Chemical official stated, “Through this business consultation, we confirmed the production and supply status of major manufacturing companies under VINACHEM and discussed specific directions for cooperation,” adding, “We plan to promote cooperation step by step, starting with products that can be traded in practice, following subsequent working-level consultations.”
