Nine & Company (formerly Gonggu Woman) has completed an equity investment in AIT-E, a company specializing in liquid cooling systems for data centers, and is moving to secure new business opportunities in the AI data center infrastructure sector.

Nine & Company announced in a disclosure on the 16th that it had acquired a 29.18% stake in AIT-E. The company plans to seek future growth engines focused on core cooling infrastructure, as the importance of heat management has risen significantly due to the spread of generative AI and the surge in use of high-performance GPUs.

This equity investment is a strategy to respond to the growing global data center cooling market. According to market research firm Grand View Research, the global data center liquid cooling market is expected to expand to approximately KRW 43.7 trillion by 2033. In Korea as well, the construction of large-scale AI data centers is accelerating, drawing concentrated attention to the related cooling infrastructure supply chain.

AIT-E, in which Nine & Company has invested, is a company that possesses water-cooled hybrid liquid cooling architecture technology. It directly removes 70–80% of GPU and CPU heat via cold plates, and controls residual heat through radiative cooling panels and a natural convection structure, thereby improving operational efficiency and stability of data centers in high-performance computing environments.

AIT-E is also laying the groundwork for overseas expansion by partnering with global IT infrastructure company World Wide Technology (WWT) and pursuing participation in a government-led global cooperation national R&D project.

Nine & Company plans to gradually expand its business base related to AI infrastructure, centered on data center cooling solutions, by broadening technology verification and overseas business opportunities through cooperation with AIT-E.
