Syswin Robotics Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoo Wan-ok), which independently carries out the entire production process of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from mechanical design and electrical system integration to autonomous driving and control software development, has secured project contracts with major global corporations based on its capabilities in internalizing technologies that span both hardware and software.

Syswin Robotics, a specialist in unmanned automation and AMRs, announced that it has won consecutive AMR logistics projects for Samsung Electronics’ Pyeongtaek semiconductor plant and Zeus, a global robotics and equipment company. In semiconductor and display production sites, logistics flows between facilities directly affect process efficiency and safety, and it is analyzed that AMR design and control technologies tailored to on-site environments played a decisive role in winning these contracts.

Syswin Robotics’ autonomous driving and control technologies have been applied to the “CLAMPING AMR,” which is being supplied on a turnkey basis to the production line (FAB) at Samsung Electronics’ Pyeongtaek semiconductor plant. This robot is designed to autonomously move to worker-designated locations, precisely dock with utility devices of various forms and specifications, and automatically transport them to their destinations. Taking into account the narrow and complex semiconductor process environment, it adopts a Mecanum wheel drive system and enables spatial mapping and obstacle avoidance based on SLAM. In addition, considering the safety requirements of semiconductor cleanrooms, it is equipped with automatic deceleration and emergency stop functions that activate upon detecting obstacles, smoke, or high heat, and it secures compatibility and stability with upper-level systems based on VDA5050, a global standard communication protocol.

Syswin Robotics’ proprietary hardware and software platform will be introduced in the Zeus project. The hardware integration board “Samr-Titan” is an all-in-one integrated controller that combines the CPU, communication module, battery management system, and other components into a single embedded board. It simplifies the internal wiring structure to reduce downtime caused by wire breakage or poor contact, with a focus on enhancing operational stability in logistics environments that require long hours of operation. By linking it with the control platform “Samr-Soft,” the company is strengthening product competitiveness in a direction that reduces assembly man-hours and improves maintenance convenience.
