Digital healthcare startup MyBenefit announced on the 20th that it has raised KRW 3 billion in Series A funding. The round was joined by body composition analyzer manufacturer InBody and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation’s Sports Industry Parent Fund, among others. As a result, MyBenefit’s cumulative funding has reached KRW 7 billion.
Since 2019, MyBenefit has secured KRW 4 billion in investment from NH Investment & Securities, WE Regional Enterprise Development Fund, Korea Biotech Investment, Bokwang Investment, T Investment, and AlpenRoute Asset Management, among others.
InBody joined this round as a new shareholder. The two companies had previously been jointly selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s project on “development of AI healthcare solutions based on bio-impedance” and have been conducting research together. Going forward, they plan to integrate InBody’s body composition analysis data and MyBenefit’s motion-recognition-based posture and fitness measurement data into a single platform. The system will allow users to view musculoskeletal measurements, body composition, blood pressure, and grip strength results all in one place.
MyBenefit’s flagship product, “Virtual Mate,” uses 3D motion recognition technology to measure joint movements and physical fitness, and then provides exercise guidance based on the results. During exercise, it offers posture information via voice and on-screen instructions. The platform offers approximately 579 exercise programs, including content designed for individuals with sarcopenia, prediabetes, a history of cancer, and mild cognitive impairment.
The company has been designated as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service, earned GS Grade 1 certification, and obtained Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conformity for medical device manufacturing and quality management. This year, it was also selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s “2026 Scale-up Technology Commercialization Support Project.”
The company has a strong track record in the public sector. It supplies its solutions to public health centers and welfare centers nationwide and has been selected for five consecutive years for the central government’s civil servant physical fitness assessment and management project. It operates programs for public officials at government complexes in Sejong, Seoul, Gwacheon, and Daejeon, and is participating in Seoul Metropolitan Government projects linked to the “Seoul-type AI Fitness Center” and “Wrist Doctor 9988.” It also supplies solutions to large corporations’ smart offices. Overseas, it is pursuing exports to Japan, Thailand, and Singapore.
MyBenefit co-CEOs Jung Seok-mo and Kwon Hee-jin said, “The investment will be used for technology development and content expansion,” adding, “The company will broaden cooperation with partner firms and accelerate overseas expansion.”
