From August 7 to 9, the '2025 Korea Display Industry Exhibition (K-Display 2025)' is being held at COEX in Seoul, where Kim Dong-kyu, CEO of Caliverse, unveiled a new blueprint for the company's metaverse service through video conversion AI (artificial intelligence) and 3D film.

Caliverse, a subsidiary of Lotte Innovate, is building the platform 'Caliverse', which is regarded as the next-generation metaverse with its unique AI technology that blends graphics and live-action. The company is gaining attention as it expands its vision to 'Web 3 deployment', partnering with Rakuten Group's wallet and Ethereum's Layer 2 solution, Arbitrum.
CEO Kim Dong-kyu stated, “With the active utilization of AI technology, the metaverse service is finally entering the main round.” He emphasized, “Caliverse is entering the monetization phase based on innovative experiences utilizing AI technology.”

According to CEO Kim, Caliverse's metaverse content, including shopping, advertising, movies, and K-pop, can be played more realistically through the AI platform and 3D film. Users can experience immersive 3D visuals simply by attaching a protective film directly to displays like smartphones, without additional equipment.
The distinctive feature of Caliverse's technology is its ability to instantly convert not only 3D-shot content but also selfies and existing 2D videos into 3D, while maintaining high resolution without any sense of discord in the 2D screen.
In fact, the virtual performance content presented at the Caliverse demonstration area in the exhibition hall emphasized a sense of reality. Performances by K-pop artists, as well as an EDM performance completed through an exclusive partnership with the world-renowned EDM festival 'Tomorrowland', showcased Caliverse's unique AI live-action fusion technology, providing a sense of reality as if filmed on-site.

Meanwhile, Caliverse was recognized for its contribution to enhancing the competitiveness of Korea's display industry at the 2025 Korea Display Industry Exhibition and received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award on the 7th.
