Seoul National University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as SeoulTech) startup incubation company, Wendy Media Co., Ltd., was recognized for its business excellence by receiving the Seoul Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Award at the 22nd Seoul Regional Startup Company Meeting (hereinafter referred to as the Meeting). Winning this award among prominent Seoul-based startups adds significant meaning.


The Meeting, held under the theme 'Innovation Begins with Meeting Together,' took place from November 13 to 14 at the Grand Hall of Splas Resom in Yesan, Chungnam. The event aimed to boost the morale of Seoul-based startups, build cooperative networks, exchange mutual information, and create opportunities for business collaboration. Approximately 300 Seoul-based startups and related parties attended this annual event, which seeks to create synergy among startup institutions and promote the activation of incubation companies.

The event began with a welcoming speech by Yoo Kwang-ho, Chairman of the Seoul Regional Startup Incubation Center Association, followed by congratulatory remarks from Park Hye-young, Acting Director of the Seoul Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration. Encouragement speeches were delivered by Park Jae-won, Executive Vice President of the Korea Business Incubation Association, and Song Myung-joo, Head of the Startup Growth Office at the Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center.

The highlight of the event was the Startup Merit Awards Ceremony. Amid fierce competition, the recipients of the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award, the Seoul Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Award, the Korea Business Incubation Association Award, and the Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center Award were announced.


Among them, Wendy Media was recognized for its contribution to regional startup activation through active entrepreneurial activities and excellent management performance, winning the Seoul Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Award in the Early Startup Package category. Kim Jung-mo, CEO of Wendy Media, expressed his delight, stating, "I am pleased to receive such a meaningful award, thanks to the various support from SeoulTech's Startup Support Group." He added, "During the Early Startup Package period at SeoulTech, Wendy Media achieved good results. Operating profit grew more than four times compared to last year, and annual sales are expected to double."

Selected for SeoulTech's Early Startup Package in May this year, Wendy Media is a media commerce solution startup. The key to this award was the 'Wendy AI Commerce Solution,' an AI-based multilingual short-form video production platform aimed at increasing exports of K-products. The Wendy AI Commerce Solution is equipped with translation functions in 10 languages, enabling commerce planning optimized for export countries. It supports the overseas expansion of domestic brands and provides opportunities for anyone to challenge the global market with K-commerce content.


Since its establishment in 2022, Wendy Media has won the E-commerce Grand Prize at the '2024 Korea Digital Advertising Awards.' This year, following the Seoul Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Award, it also received the Encouragement Award at the '2025 Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism AI·Digital Innovation Forum.' CEO Kim Jung-mo stated, "It's been less than three years since we started, and good things keep happening, from awards to sales. I am grateful to SeoulTech for helping us receive positive evaluations."

Meanwhile, SeoulTech's Startup Support Group is a key institution providing entrepreneurship-related support and programs to various groups, including students, faculty, and the general public. It acts as the main institution for major startup support projects of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, such as the Preliminary Startup Package and the Early Startup Package. Accordingly, it operates customized support projects for each stage of entrepreneurship, leading the way in supporting the growth and development of startup companies.
