The innovative encyclopedia service 'TimeWiki', which allows users to view the chronology of people and events at a glance through a 'timeline', was officially launched today (11th). TimeWiki reconstructs vast historical data through an AI system, and users can add their insights and interpretations to collaboratively complete the chronology on this cooperative knowledge platform.

What sets TimeWiki apart from existing encyclopedia services is its intuitive framework of 'chronological timelines' for organizing events. This allows users to grasp the overall flow and context of history at a glance. Particularly, the 'comparative chronology' feature enables users to compare the timelines of two individuals or events side by side, revealing new relationships previously unknown.

The foundation of the TimeWiki system was designed with the participation of numerous Yonsei University alumni experts active in various sectors of society, including AI, science, education, media, journalism, and law. These experts focused on designing a unique data structure that traces the complexity and causality of time, and they plan to continuously refine AI technology to advance the chronology system.

Additionally, a community space called 'TimeLounge' has been established where users can freely share their interpretations and analyses of the chronology. It is expected to become a vibrant community platform that expands knowledge through insights and discussions, beyond mere information consumption.

A TimeWiki representative stated, "TimeWiki will grow into a knowledge archive portal co-created by AI and humans," and expressed hope that "users will build records to pass on to future generations, making TimeWiki a vast library of time for the future."

TimeWiki is currently accessible through Google search and plans to expand its services to be used as supplementary educational material for students and to contribute to providing a balanced perspective on current issues.
