Hancom Awesome Tech Co., Ltd. announced that through the '2025 Drone Industry Ecosystem Creation Project,' it is developing and demonstrating a GPS-based facility drone inspection system utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), thereby leading the advancement of smart infrastructure maintenance technology.

Hancom Awesome Tech, a drone manufacturing and service company, was selected for the 'Drone Industry Ecosystem Creation Project' by Daejeon Technopark in 2025.

This technology allows for facility inspections using drones, improves AI datasets, and enables easy monitoring of inspection results through a visualization control system via AI video analysis. In particular, a control system optimized for facility inspection targets was developed and demonstrated.

Key features include △real-time AI video analysis and transmission △management of automatic flight paths (latitude, longitude, altitude, camera angle) △automatic flight path generation based on addresses and cadastral maps (application of National Spatial Information Precision Service V-WORLD API) △N:N network and swarm flight control among multiple control systems and drones △display of real-time weather information from the Korea Meteorological Administration △display of real-time aircraft flight information in the flight area (ADS-B) △real-time flight location mission generation function, and connection security.

The control system software developed in the future is expected to be competitive as a subscription-based SaaS (Software as a Service) model, allowing customers to use it at an affordable service cost.

A representative from Hancom Awesome Tech stated, “We have optimized it by reflecting the functions and convenience required for drone flight on-site.”
