Health tech company Minish Technology announced on the 27th that it has produced 22 graduates through the 15th 'Minish Course' held for local dentists in the United States.
This course was held from the 24th for three days at the VITA North America training center in Orange County, California. Recognized as Continuing Education for U.S. dentists, the course attracted high interest, closing early despite having tuition fees approximately 50% higher than other local programs.
The Minish Course was operated with a curriculum that included the philosophy and theory of the dental restoration solution 'Minish,' as well as practical training in △prep △scan △bonding △occlusion △setting. This program started in 2022 to cultivate 'Minish Doctors' who use Minish in treatments and to expand provider dental clinics. To date, 342 participants have completed the course.
Dr. Philip Tagatac (Inland Dental Arts, San Bernardino, California) stated, “I appreciated the scientific evidence behind the treatment,” adding, “I often perform veneer treatments, and I am pleased to have a minimally invasive treatment option to offer patients with Minish.”
Dr. Albert Lee (Georgia Dental Implant Center, Acworth, Georgia) commented, “With many instructors and small group operations, it felt like receiving one-on-one lectures,” and “Overall, both the lectures and practical sessions were excellent.”
This training marked the first time the Minish Course was conducted overseas. Although Minish clinical seminars had previously been held in Tokyo, Japan, and Beverly Hills, USA, this was the first time a regular training course including practical sessions was held locally. In Japan, local doctors prefer education and facility visits in Korea and exchanges with existing provider dentists, leading to three domestic sessions in November last year, April, and September this year.
Graduates can join Minish Providers after undergoing clinical proficiency and qualification assessments, as well as hospital facility inspections. As of October, there are a total of 75 Minish Provider dental clinics: 43 in Korea, 29 in Japan, 1 in the USA, 1 in Canada, and 1 in Vietnam.
The global Minish Course for foreign dentists operates four times a year, with two sessions each in Japan and the USA.
A representative from Minish Technology stated, “Holding the training course in the United States, the world's largest medical market, signifies entering the stage of full-scale global expansion,” adding, “With the overseas business, which focused on Asia centered on Japan, expanding to the North American market, we have laid the foundation for advancing as a global health tech company.”
