All-in-one workspace platform 'Notion' held a press conference at the Ruby Hall of The Plaza Hotel Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul, officially announcing its latest product, 'Notion 3.0'. The press conference was attended by Park Dae-sung, head of Notion Korea, along with Fuzzy Khosrowshahi, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the San Francisco headquarters, and John Hurley, Head of Product Marketing.
Notion is a type of collaboration tool program that allows over 100 million users worldwide to easily use various tasks such as document creation, knowledge management, and project management on a single platform. Recently, it has enabled the use of artificial intelligence (AI) features such as ChatGPT and Gemini. It is characterized by its ability to perform various functions such as simple internet searches, work collaboration, schedule sharing, and project management on one platform. It also allows the use of other web services like ChatGPT, enabling efficient work from one place. It is free for personal use (with some feature limitations). The company name is the same as the program name, 'Notion'. It was founded in the United States in 2013, and the Korean branch has been operating since 2022. It is known to be the only foreign solution with a Korean branch. In Korea, it is known that GS Group and Hyosung Group use Notion for business purposes. Developers reportedly use Notion as a collaboration tool.

The newly announced Notion 3.0 is introduced as having enhanced AI agent features that perform user tasks. It is described as a major upgrade in seven years, allowing AI to perform various roles like a team member.
Notion emphasized that it has implemented the world's first AI agent dedicated to knowledge work, helping users focus on 'real work' such as strategy formulation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving by reducing time-consuming repetitive tasks. It stated that the AI agent can maximize efficiency in work or projects by taking over 'work for work' tasks such as writing meeting minutes or reports.
Fuzzy Khosrowshahi, Notion CTO, said, "Notion 1.0 integrated document and knowledge management systems into one tool, and 2.0 turned it into a database to gather projects in one place," adding, "The latest Notion 3.0 connects various tools like Notion Mail, Notion Calendar, Slack, GitHub, and Salesforce to the database based on a multi-connector platform (MCP), allowing the agent to understand the entire work context of the user and complete tasks directly."
John Hurley, Head of Product Marketing at Notion, is introducing the main features and functions of Notion 3.0.

During the conference, a demonstration showed how the Notion AI agent actually performs tasks. In tasks requiring service improvement through customer feedback analysis, the Notion AI agent automatically extracted relevant quotes from various sources such as Slack conversations, Notion Mail, and web pages, and organized them into a report format in seconds. It also implemented the function of completing the organized content into a report according to the company format. Subsequently, it classified detailed tasks, assigned them to responsible persons, and even demonstrated the function of automatically generating necessary charts and formulas. It was impressive to see it completing data like a team member while smoothly continuing the actual work flow according to the user's intent.

The achievements in the collaboration tool market were also disclosed that day. It is reported that 90% of the Forbes Cloud 100 companies and 94% of the Forbes AI 50 companies are using Notion for business purposes. In particular, it was stated that innovative companies such as OpenAI are adopting Notion as a core productivity platform in the era of AI transformation (AX).
Park Dae-sung, head of Notion Korea, said, "Seoul is one of the cities with the most active Notion users worldwide," explaining, "GS, for example, is a domestic conglomerate that actively utilized Notion in the digital transformation (DT) and AX processes. GS Construction has converted tasks that were previously handwritten or required user input, such as ordering meals for field workers and CEO reports, to Notion, and even established and utilized a community called 'Xai Market' for trading construction materials or idle products using Notion."

On this day, Notion also shared its new product launch (upgrade) plans. John Hurley, Head of Product Marketing at Notion, stated that they plan to introduce an AI Custom Agent feature that can autonomously perform tasks in the background without opening the Notion program. He mentioned that this feature allows for fine-tuning the range of databases accessible by AI, considering companies where security is crucial. The AI Custom Agent feature is currently in the testing phase.
Park Dae-sung, head of Notion Korea, stated, "Korea is a very important market for Notion," and added, "We will continue to provide support so that Korean users can focus more on productive tasks rather than simple repetitive tasks."
Fuzzy Khosrowshahi, Notion CTO, said, "As AI development is rapidly progressing, the range and frequency of AI utilization by Korean users are at a very high level," and added, "Notion is creating outcomes that bring substantial benefits and improvements in the quality of work to users, beyond merely assisting with tasks."
