Gangnam JS Hospital has once again elevated the status of Korean medical services on the American stage. At the recent 'Premium Healthcare Summit' held in California, USA, Chief Director Song Jun-seop presented the results of 3,000 stem cell-based cartilage regeneration treatments, the highest number worldwide, showcasing Korea's advanced medical technology.
This event went beyond mere technology promotion, resulting in tangible achievements such as enhancing the health of local Korean residents and strengthening the global medical network. At the event, Gangnam JS Hospital received the 'Official Certified Medical Institution' appointment plaque from the City of Buena Park, signed an MOU for medical cooperation with the Korean Associations of Orange County and New Jersey, and conducted presentations and touring medical consultations for Korean residents.
Director Song stated, "Stem cell treatment is a life-extending therapy that goes beyond merely reducing pain to regenerating damaged knee cartilage, restoring patients' daily lives and quality of life," and expressed his commitment to establishing a global medical platform where overseas patients and Korean residents can receive treatment with confidence.
The local presentation was attended by over 300 Korean residents from New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Orange County. The hospital not only delivered presentations but also conducted on-site medical consultations and individual counseling, with specific inquiries about surgery timing and rehabilitation processes. Particularly, the sharing of experiences and recovery stories by Korean residents in the US who underwent surgery in Korea last year received an enthusiastic response. The real-life testimony of a patient stating, "The pain disappeared, and I was able to walk again," was noted to have increased trust in stem cell treatment.
At the summit, Mayor Joyce Ahn of Buena Park personally presented the certification plaque to Gangnam JS Hospital, stating, "It has elevated the status of Korean medical institutions as a trusted medical partner in the community."
Gangnam JS Hospital plans to expand its long-term cooperation framework by building a health network for Korean residents, operating regular check-up and consultation centers, and providing customized medical services. Additionally, leveraging its experience in rehabilitation and sports medicine as the national team doctor, the hospital aims to accelerate the expansion of its global network not only in the US but also in the Middle East and China.
Through this Premium Healthcare Summit, Gangnam JS Hospital achieved three global accomplishments: △disclosure of stem cell treatment results △appointment as an official medical institution of Buena Park △touring medical consultations and MOU signing for Korean residents.
Korean medical services are now entering a new phase, taking responsibility not only for foreign patients but also for the health of millions of Korean residents worldwide.
