Medintech, a company specializing in the development of smart electric endoscopy systems and AI software, announced that it has supplied its AI-based anomaly detection software 'MD-GA-300' to KMI Korea Medical Institute (Chairman Lee Kwang-bae, hereafter KMI).

KMI, established in 1985, is a specialized health examination institution operating health examination centers in major locations nationwide, including Seoul (Gwanghwamun, Yeouido, Gangnam), Suwon, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju, and Jeju.

Medintech's 'MD-GA-300' is a medical AI software that has obtained approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, which analyzes and detects anomalies in real-time by linking with gastrointestinal endoscopy equipment. It simultaneously analyzes the entire organ structure and local lesions in endoscopic images.

This allows for the rapid detection of sub-centimeter-level micro-lesions that are easily missed by the naked eye, maintaining high precision even when lesion boundaries are unclear. It also applies an advanced false-positive suppression algorithm to minimize unnecessary alerts, optimizing the balance of sensitivity and specificity.

Through this implementation, it is expected to enhance the reliability and accuracy of endoscopic examinations, reduce unnecessary re-examinations and patient anxiety and discomfort, and quickly identify micro-anomalies that are easily overlooked.

Medintech CEO Lee Chi-won stated, "MD-GA-300 complements the expertise of medical professionals to improve examination quality and reduce repeat examinations," and added, "With this introduction to KMI, we will expand distribution to enable more patients to receive safe and precise examinations."
