In the recent IT industry, artificial intelligence (AI) has established itself as a key driver that goes beyond a simple technological trend to revolutionize corporate productivity and efficiency. Teamsparta, known as a coding education company, is no exception. Teamsparta is actively incorporating AI within the company to enhance work efficiency and is expanding its business by providing 'AI corporate education' to companies based on this know-how.

Teamsparta's main educational services include ▲ the online coding education service 'Sparta Coding Club' ▲ K Digital Training (KDT) 'Sparta Tomorrow Learning Camp' for career transitions ▲ the 'Sailing 99' bootcamp for strengthening the capabilities of current employees, and recently, AI corporate education that is expanding to all industries. Through AI corporate education, Teamsparta aims to provide job-specific customized curriculums and support the maximization of job productivity and work automation.


IT Donga met with Oh Sung-taek, the Infrastructure Tech Leader leading Teamsparta's AI transition, to hear how AI is changing Teamsparta's way of working and how they are developing AI corporate education based on this. Teamsparta's development team operates on two axes: 'Service Tech,' which develops all of Teamsparta's services, and 'Infrastructure Tech,' which operates the overall internal infrastructure and supports the productivity improvement of all employees. Oh Sung-taek, a 4th-year software engineer overseeing Infrastructure Tech, leads a team of six engineers.

AI replaces simple repetitive tasks... People focus on valuable work

Teamsparta is introducing various general-purpose AI services such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, Anthropic's Claude, xAI's Grok, and Genspark AI within the company. Oh Sung-taek, the Tech Leader, stated, “By replacing simple repetitive tasks with AI, we are enhancing efficiency while further strengthening customer communication and creative tasks,” and emphasized the importance of communicating and educating employees to recognize AI as a collaborative partner rather than just a tool.


An actual case began with the Customer Experience (CX) team. Teamsparta utilized Claude's Connector (a protocol connecting AI models with external tools and data sources) to link Slack, Notion, GitHub, etc. Oh Sung-taek explained, “Previously, API integration had to be developed separately for each service, but with the Connector, a Slack summary task that took two hours daily is now completed in 5 seconds, with an accuracy of over 95%.”

Teamsparta has expanded AI application throughout its operations. Key examples include ▲ the internal policy guide Slackbot using the AI operation solution 'Runbear' ▲ automated analysis of user funnel data ▲ a system for mass reviewing graduates' resumes. For instance, the Slackbot trained with the internal life and financial white papers provides immediate answers to employees' questions about company rules. The graduate resume review system analyzes hundreds of resumes at once to suggest improvements.

In addition to internal tasks, AI has also been applied to online education services. A representative example is the 'AI Tutor,' which has been trained on online lecture materials (PDF). The AI Tutor provides immediate solutions when students input errors or error messages encountered during their studies. Oh Sung-taek stated, “Previously, the operations team provided answers within 10 minutes, but many learners felt that even 10 minutes was too long. With the AI Tutor, they can receive answers in 5 to 10 seconds, allowing them to continue their studies without interruption.”

AI corporate education differentiated by customized curriculum


Teamsparta is entering the AI corporate education market based on its internal AI utilization experience. A Teamsparta representative explained, “We provide organization-customized AI corporate education across various industries, offering educational consulting tailored to each company's AI transition stage, beyond just simple AI usage.” The education levels range from basic AI education for new employees to training AI utilization experts, including education for executives and employees. For example, ▲ creating GPT based on corporate data ▲ report creation education using Genspark ▲ workflow automation education using no-code platforms ▲ AI video and image creation methods. Additionally, through coaching in online education, participants complete results tailored to their work situations.

In 2024 alone, Teamsparta conducted about 190 AI project-based learning (PBL) education sessions targeting IT sectors, large financial corporations, and startups. Companies like Nongshim, JoongAng Group, and Korea Investment & Securities have adopted their education. A Teamsparta representative added, “As a result of reflecting customer feedback weekly, the average completion rate recorded 99.8%, and the on-site education satisfaction rate below 4 points was at 2.6%.”

Furthermore, he stated, “The curriculum content development team directly manages the curriculum by reflecting the latest AI technology. We have a study culture where internal members research the latest AI tools together, incorporating practical content into education.” The teaching method is divided into offline customized corporate education and online digital flipped learning. After conducting pre-interviews and environment tests with companies, a professional instructor and technical tutor are assigned together to provide one-on-one mentoring and practical experience. If securing education time is challenging, online education and offline hackathons and competitions help complete projects related to current work.


Oh Sung-taek, the Tech Leader, emphasized, “Companies with high demand for AI utilization either create their own LLM or adopt enterprise AI created by AI specialist companies. However, if the construction speed is slow, they also use general-purpose AI concurrently. In addition to this, Teamsparta provides customized education that allows AI to be used appropriately while complying with security regulations for companies that are too small to build their own AI.”

Teamsparta aims to create new IT businesses, including software (SW) and game development, beyond just coding education. On September 4, it announced that it was selected as a '2025 Preliminary Unicorn' company, recognizing its achievements in IT and AI education. Furthermore, Teamsparta is targeting the Japanese B2B online corporate education market based on securing domestic customers. A Teamsparta representative stated, “After establishing a Japanese corporation in 2024, we signed education contracts with listed Japanese companies in the IT and financial sectors,” and “We are currently providing localized curriculums, such as ChatGPT utilization education and Python-based work efficiency education, aiming to nurture AI talent.”
