SK AX is partnering with German software company SAP to drive AI transformation across the full spectrum of corporate operations.
SK AX announced on the 26th that it signed a “Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation on the SAP Autonomous Suite and Business AI” at SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The signing ceremony was attended by SK AX President Kim Wan-jong, SK AX Chief Customer Officer (CCO) Son Gun-il, and SAP Korea CEO Shin Eun-young.
The agreement aims to redesign companies’ business processes using Agentic AI and apply AI across overall corporate operations, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as accounting, human resources, procurement, inventory, and sales.
President Kim said, “SK AX is driving AX innovation by fundamentally redesigning business processes and integrating AX to enhance the competitiveness of corporate customers, based on differentiated AX technological capabilities that span legacy systems, data, and cloud,” adding, “Building on this strategic collaboration with SAP, SK AX and the SK Group will first create leading AI-native enterprise success stories and then expand them into domestic and global markets.”
On the same day, President Kim also met with SAP CEO Christian Klein to discuss specific cooperation measures.
SK AX plans to collaborate with SAP across various industries, including finance, manufacturing, and energy, through the “SAP Autonomous Suite,” which supports autonomous operating environments for AI agents; “SAP Business AI,” SAP’s enterprise AI product portfolio; and its own “AXgenticWire ERP Suite.”
In particular, AXgenticWire ERP Suite is a service that supports customers from ERP strategy development through implementation, migration, and operation. It consists of “my Finance,” which provides financial task automation and anomaly detection; “EAR (ERP AI Rewire) Ops,” which supports ERP operations; and “EAR Studio,” which applies AI to ERP system design, development, and testing. In addition, SK AX provides “SK AX FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer),” a service that closely supports on-site ERP operations, and “SK AX AIDE (AI Driven ERP),” an AI-based ERP transformation consulting service.
SK AX plans to list this service on SAP’s open platform (marketplace), the “AI Agent Hub,” and supply it to overseas corporate customers as well. Through this, the company expects to shorten ERP implementation and migration timelines for enterprises and improve operational quality. It will also participate in the “EAC (Early Adopter Care)” program, under which it adopts SAP products prior to official release and provides feedback.
An SK AX representative said, “The two companies will establish a joint cooperation framework that encompasses everything from technology verification and AI agent development to customer application and commercialization, and will create world-class representative cases of AI-native enterprises,” adding, “SK AX plans to present the results of this cooperation to customers worldwide at various global events and business venues.”
Meanwhile, SAP is a global enterprise software company that leads the ERP market and provides applications that integrate core business processes such as finance, supply chain, and human resources.
