Functional apparel adhesive materials specialist Cielon Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jin-pyo) received the Organizing Committee Chair Award of the Nano Industry Technology Awards at “NANO KOREA 2026,” held on the 8th.

NANO KOREA is a representative government awards program in the nano-convergence field, co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Science and ICT. It recognizes and rewards companies and institutions that demonstrate technological excellence and industrial applicability. This award reflects recognition of Cielon’s achievements in eco-friendly technology development and marketability in the field of functional apparel and industrial adhesive materials.

Founded in 2002, Cielon is a specialist in seam sealing tapes for waterproof and windproof clothing and outdoor wear, as well as hot-melt adhesive films. The company was highly evaluated for developing “PFAS-Free” products that exclude perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances in response to changes in global environmental regulations, and for its continued research into recyclable and bio-based adhesive materials.

A Cielon official stated, “This award is the result of our R&D efforts for eco-friendly adhesive material development being recognized,” adding, “Going forward, we will expand our technology beyond apparel into various industries such as medical and automotive, and strengthen our competitiveness in the global market.”
