LG announced on the 8th that it took part in the global artificial intelligence (AI) conference “International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML) 2026,” held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from the 6th of this month, and disclosed on-site innovation cases of LG’s AI “Exaone.” ICML is regarded as one of the world’s top three AI conferences and is being held in Korea for the first time this year.

LG demonstrated “Exaone Discovery,” an Exaone-based AI platform for discovering new materials, and unveiled actual samples of the hair-loss management novel material “Ramsidil,” which was discovered using AI and is being prepared for commercialization, as well as “immersion cooling oil” materials for next-generation AI data centers (a cooling medium that directly submerges servers or power equipment to absorb and transfer heat). A demonstration of “Exaone BI,” a finance-specialized AI agent, was also conducted. Exaone BI analyzes about 8,000 individual stocks listed in Korea and the United States every day and provides prediction scores and analysis at the level of financial experts. Lim Woo-hyung, Co-Head of LG AI Research, stressed, “Exaone is no longer a laboratory tool, but an expert AI that finds answers in the field,” adding, “LG will secure global leadership in AI.”
