Hotel consulting and asset management company Styleloft announced that it has signed a license agreement with HVS, a global hospitality consulting firm. Through this agreement, Styleloft plans to expand its advisory services for hotel development, operations, and asset transactions in Korea by leveraging HVS’s global data and network.
The partnership focuses on combining HVS’s global hotel market data with Styleloft’s on-the-ground practical experience in the domestic market. Styleloft has built execution capabilities in the market through its work on domestic luxury and upscale hotel projects such as Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul, and Courtyard by Marriott. With the addition of HVS data, the company’s decision-making support capabilities at the early stages of hotel planning and development—such as feasibility analysis, brand introduction strategies, facilities planning review, and advisory on operating structures—are expected to be strengthened.
In Korea’s hotel market, which continues to attract interest from overseas investors, advisory services related to asset transactions will also be specified. Styleloft plans to utilize the HVS network to introduce domestic hotel assets to foreign investors and to broaden its advisory scope to include market analysis required for acquisitions and disposals, review of transaction structures, and formulation of divestment strategies.
Chee Hok Yean, President of HVS Asia-Pacific, said, “Korea is one of the most notable hospitality markets in the Asia-Pacific region,” adding, “By combining HVS’s global expertise with Styleloft’s on-site capabilities, we will provide enhanced advisory services for owners, developers, and investors across hotel development, operations, and transactions.”
Stephen Rushmore Jr., President and CEO of HVS, commented, “This partnership is an example of HVS’s direction to deliver global expertise through trusted local partners.”
Lee Hoon, CEO of Styleloft, stated, “On the back of the agreement with HVS, the company will present directions for the development and transaction of hotel assets that reflect both a global perspective and a practical understanding of the Korean market.”
