PersonaAI (CEO Yoo Seung-jae) has joined the “KEPCO Energy AI Partners,” a private-sector council led by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) to accelerate AX in the power industry, as a key participant and has begun collaborating in the AX market for the public and energy sectors. Its strategy is to establish new industrial AI references by combining highly sophisticated on-site data from the power industry with generative AI and physical AI technologies.
In March, following the declaration of its “AI Grand Transformation Management Innovation,” in which it announced its vision to become “the world’s leading energy AI platform provider,” KEPCO formed the “KEPCO AI Council” to innovate the rapidly changing power grid environment—driven by the expansion of renewable energy—through AI technology. The council is structured as an open industrial consortium in which companies in AI solutions, NPUs, data, vision AI, physical AI, and power AI participate, and aims to build an AI cooperation network across the entire power ecosystem.
Based on AX capabilities accumulated in areas such as AICC (Artificial Intelligence Contact Center), generative AI, multimodal AI, data analytics, and knowledge-graph-based industrial AI, PersonaAI plans to use its participation in this council to expand its entry base into the AX market for the public and energy sectors and to focus on securing industrial generative AI references.
From the second half of this year, the council plans to sequentially carry out initiatives such as AI Matching Day, technology councils, commercialization competitions, and projects linked to BIXPO, thereby materializing the AX ecosystem for the power industry. KEPCO plans to share GPU infrastructure and data utilization environments with participating companies and to build an open platform ecosystem, with the aim of raising the overall AX level of the power industry by one step.
PersonaAI plans to expand cooperation on generative AI projects in the public and energy sectors, in parallel with scaling up demonstrations of its physical AI and digital-twin-based industrial AI platform.
A PersonaAI representative said, “The power industry is a representative industrial sector where generative AI and physical AI can converge most rapidly,” adding, “Based on our accumulated generative AI technological capabilities, we will create AI innovation cases centered on industrial sites.”
