Inkjet coating equipment specialist Gosantech (Co-CEOs Kim Kwang-su and Lee Sung-hee) announced that it has attracted an equity investment from Japanese solar equipment company NPC Incorporated (NPC Co., Ltd., President Masafumi Ito).

NPC is a Japanese equipment specialist with a long track record in back-end process equipment for solar panels. Since signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in September 2025, the two companies have been conducting joint sales activities targeting the perovskite solar cell market. After winning multiple projects in a short period following the agreement, the companies have now upgraded their business alliance to a capital alliance.

Gosantech, founded in 2015, is an inkjet coating equipment specialist that has supplied inkjet equipment for OLED manufacturing to major Korean display manufacturers. Based on its delivery record in organic EL processes, where nano-level film thickness uniformity is required, the company has independently developed ink supply and pressure control technologies, as well as wettability simulation technology on substrates. Through technological collaboration with Epson (EPSON), it has also built an inkjet head system that can be applied to perovskite processes using strong solvents. The company currently holds more than 120 patents.

Through this capital alliance, the two companies plan to deepen cooperation across technology, production, and sales. NPC will utilize the infrastructure of its Matsuyama plant to integrate Gosantech’s inkjet equipment into turnkey manufacturing lines that meet safety and quality standards required by solar cell manufacturers. From Gosantech’s perspective, leveraging NPC’s global sales network is expected to significantly enhance its competitiveness in securing large-scale projects in the Japanese and U.S. markets.

Gosantech Co-CEO Kim Kwang-su stated, “This capital alliance is highly significant in that it establishes a practical business platform that combines our inkjet technology capabilities with NPC’s industrial network,” adding, “We will position ourselves as a key equipment supplier leading the era of perovskite solar cells.”
