InterBattery 2026, held at COEX in Seoul from the 11th to the 13th, has come to a close.

Another pillar of the exhibition was the Cell-to-Pack (CTP) based integrated package solution. CTP is a structure in which cells are mounted directly into the pack without going through the module stage, reducing the number of components and processes and thereby improving both energy density and cost competitiveness.

SK On showcased four pack solutions in one place: a pouch cell-to-pack, a Large Surface Cooling (LSC) cell-to-pack, a pouch-integrated prismatic pack, and immersion cooling. This was the first time all four were exhibited together. LSC technology places cooling plates on the contact surfaces between cells, enabling up to three times higher cooling performance compared with conventional indirect cooling methods. The prismatic On-vent Cell, which won an InterBattery 2026 Award, was introduced as a technology that enhances design flexibility while maintaining the safety of prismatic batteries.
