CJ CheilJedang announced on the 22nd that it has signed a technology license agreement for lysine, a feed-use amino acid product, with Chinese state-owned enterprise Xinghuipin (星湖伊品).
Under this agreement, CJ CheilJedang will grant Xinghuipin an exclusive license in China to use its lysine strains. Xinghuipin is a global bio-fermentation company that produces amino acids, food additives, and fertilizers.
CJ CheilJedang plans to maximize synergy by combining its differentiated lysine fermentation and strain process optimization technology with Xinghuipin’s large-scale production capacity and global market network. The two companies plan to continue their cooperation in the fields of biotechnology and bio-fermentation technology going forward.
Yoon Seok-hwan, CEO of CJ CheilJedang, said, “This collaboration goes beyond a simple technology license agreement and is meaningful in that the two companies have jointly laid a solid foundation for the sustainable growth of the amino acid industry.”
