POSCO Group has decided to promote the application of humanoid robots to steel product logistics management.

On the 4th, POSCO Group announced that four companies—POSCO, POSCO DX, POSCO Venture Capital, and Persona AI—had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the field application of industrial humanoid robots. Under the agreement, POSCO will identify locations within its steelworks where humanoid robots can be introduced and will be responsible for assessing their applicability. POSCO DX will design and build the robot automation system and develop a steelworks-specialized model. POSCO Venture Capital will support the execution of proof-of-concept (PoC) business validation, while Persona AI will be in charge of developing humanoid robots designed specifically for steelworks.

POSCO Group plans to deploy Persona AI’s humanoid robots in steel coil logistics management in the second half of this year (July–December) to verify their feasibility for actual application. POSCO Group believes that collaboration between humans and robots can create a safer working environment.
