Samsung Electronics will launch the upgraded AI PCs “Galaxy Book6 Ultra” and “Galaxy Book6 Pro” in Korea on the 27th, featuring enhancements in performance, design, and AI usability.
According to Samsung Electronics on the 26th, the Galaxy Book6 series is equipped with the Intel® Core™ Ultra Processor Series 3, significantly improving power efficiency and processing performance. In addition, an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) capable of up to 50 TOPS (up to 50 trillion operations per second) enables smooth support for AI-based tasks such as image editing, text conversion, and search.
The display supports HDR brightness of up to 1,000 nits, about twice that of the previous model. This allows users to enjoy clear picture quality even outdoors. In particular, the Galaxy Book6 Ultra is the first Galaxy Book to feature a total of six speakers, including four woofers and two tweeters, delivering powerful and rich sound.
The Galaxy Book6 series also enables extended use through efficient heat management and excellent battery performance. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra adopts a newly designed fan structure that expels heat to the rear and side in two directions, preventing overheating and performance degradation, while the Galaxy Book6 Pro is the first Pro model to be equipped with a vapor chamber cooling system to reduce heat.
Despite this, the devices are thinner. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra has a slim design with a thickness of 15.4 mm, 1.1 mm thinner than its predecessor, and the 16-inch Galaxy Book6 Pro has a thickness of 11.9 mm, 0.6 mm thinner than the previous model.
Users of the Galaxy Book6 series can easily search documents or images stored on the PC or change PC settings using natural language. By using the AI Select feature, they can quickly access necessary information by selecting text or images on the touch screen while browsing, shopping, or watching videos online, without entering separate search terms. In addition, through device connection functions, PCs can be easily linked with smartphones and tablets, and the shared storage feature allows files stored on connected smartphones to be freely used on the PC.
Jung Ho-jin, Vice President and Head of Korea Subsidiary at Samsung Electronics, said, “The Galaxy Book6 series is an innovative flagship lineup that offers a new experience, from overwhelming performance and sophisticated design to convenient Galaxy AI,” adding, “The Ultra model is recommended for customers who primarily engage in high-resolution video editing and gaming, while the Pro model is suited for those who prefer high-spec multitasking and a touch display.”
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book6 Ultra will be released in a single 40.6 cm (16-inch) size in gray. The Galaxy Book6 Pro will be available in two sizes, 40.6 cm (16-inch) and 35.6 cm (14-inch), in gray and silver. Depending on detailed specifications such as model, CPU, graphics card, and memory, prices range from KRW 4.62 million to KRW 4.93 million for the Galaxy Book6 Ultra, and from KRW 2.60 million to KRW 3.51 million for the Galaxy Book6 Pro.
