Apartment autonomous driving convergence system specialist ChamsleTech Co., Ltd. (Vice Chairman Yoon Yong-sang) announced on the 22nd that it has completed patent registration for its “Tesla FSD Summon location-based call service provision technology.”

With the securing of technical safety through this patent registration, ChamsleTech will provide free support for integrating this service’s software platform into 283 apartment complexes (approximately 290,000 households) in the Seoul metropolitan area where its system has already been installed, in order to accelerate the popularization of autonomous driving services.

The newly registered patent is a core technology that enables control of Tesla’s FSD (Full Self-Driving) function, which is optimized for U.S.-style above-ground parking lots, even in underground parking lots of Korean apartments where GPS signals do not reach.

Until now, Tesla’s existing autonomous driving summon function, which relies on GPS signals, was difficult to use in underground parking lots of domestic apartments, which are GPS shadow zones, due to location recognition failures. The industry has regarded this as the “final puzzle” that must be solved for smart home autonomous driving to become a reality.

ChamsleTech stated that it has solved this challenge with its “real-time spatial synchronization” technology that connects apartment infrastructure, smartphones, and vehicles into a single system. When this technology is applied, a vehicle can track the smartphone’s location in real time even deep underground and autonomously drive to the entrance of the building where the resident is waiting. The company explained that this establishes the core foundation for a true “Park to Door” technology that seamlessly connects the parking space (Park) to the entrance (Door).

To protect the originality of its technology and secure first-mover advantage in the global market, ChamsleTech has built a strong patent defense. In addition to the two patents registered this time (Registration Nos. 10-2897057 and 10-2899006), the company is filing five additional related core technology patents, and has proceeded with an overseas PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) application (PCT/KR2025/019105), thereby laying the groundwork for a high technological entry barrier.

Based on the technological capabilities thus secured, ChamsleTech will provide, for a limited period, free integration of this service’s software platform, which is specialized for the “K-apartment” environment, to complexes where its system is installed.

For 283 apartment complexes in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province where ChamsleTech’s parking guidance and smart one-pass systems have already been deployed, the service will be provided through software integration without the need to replace expensive equipment.

Vice Chairman Yoon Yong-sang of ChamsleTech said, “Precise summon in underground spaces was the final puzzle that had to be solved for autonomous vehicles to become part of the smart home,” adding, “This patented technology will become a representative case of ‘K-Smart Home Mobility’ that reinterprets U.S. FSD technology to fit the residential culture of Korean apartments.”

Among residents of the target complexes, owners of vehicles equipped with the Tesla FSD option can apply for the service via the ChamsleTech website starting on the 22nd. ChamsleTech stated that detailed precautions can be checked on its website.
