To be held over two days next January at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel
Four key sessions: AI, home appliances, security, and design
Group affiliates and external expert panels to discuss the technology vision
Samsung Electronics announced on the 22nd that it will hold the “Samsung Tech Forum” during CES 2026 (Consumer Electronics Show), the world’s largest electronics and IT exhibition to be held in Las Vegas, USA, in January next year. The forum is designed as a venue for presenting the direction of technological evolution and a new industrial vision. It has been planned as an opportunity for Samsung Electronics to strengthen its leadership in the global technology ecosystem and share its technology strategy in response to rapidly changing AI-based industrial restructuring.
The forum will take place from January 5 to 6 (local time) at Samsung Electronics’ exclusive exhibition space inside the Wynn and Encore Las Vegas hotel in Las Vegas. This year’s event is notable in that Samsung Electronics has created not only a product exhibition but also a “dialogue platform” where the direction of technology and its social implications are discussed together.
The forum consists of four thematic sessions covering areas where Samsung Electronics’ core competencies are concentrated, including artificial intelligence (AI), home appliances, security, and design. Each session will be conducted in a panel discussion format, with participation from Samsung Electronics’ in-house experts as well as global partners, academia, media, and analysts, who will exchange views from diverse perspectives.
The first session, “Open AI Ecosystem for Daily Life,” will be held at 9 a.m. on the 5th. It will feature Yoonho Choi, a professional at Samsung Electronics’ DA (Digital Appliances) Division, along with CEOs of major smart home-related companies. They are scheduled to discuss how smart home technologies can enhance individual efficiency and convenience in daily life, focusing on the importance of interoperability across industries and consumer-centric service innovation.
The second session, “Security and Privacy in the Age of AI,” is scheduled for 2 p.m. on the same day. It will be joined by Baek Sin-cheol, Head of the AI Platform Center at Samsung Electronics, and global security experts. They will address technological and policy approaches to ensuring the safety of the vast amounts of data processed by AI systems and enhancing user trust. In particular, the session is expected to highlight the view that data protection in the AI era, where personalized services are proliferating, has become a key factor in corporate sustainability.
The third session, “Redefining TV through Streaming,” will be held at 4 p.m. on January 5. Participants will include Salek Brodsky, Senior Vice President of the VD (Visual Display) Division at Samsung Electronics, and executives from the global media and entertainment industry. The panel will discuss next-generation content consumption trends, including FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) services, creator-led channels, and AI curation-based recommendation technologies. The evolution of TV from a hardware-centric device into a platform-based service hub will also be a major agenda item.
The fourth and final session, “Human-centered Technology Design,” will take place at 1 p.m. on January 6. It will feature Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer of Samsung Electronics’ DX Division, together with global design leaders. This session will focus on the impact of AI and creativity, as well as the use of new materials, on design innovation, and on how technology can enhance emotional experiences and the quality of everyday life for people.
In addition to this forum, Samsung Electronics will also host “The First Look” event at CES from January 4 to 7, where it plans to unveil its AI-centered technology vision and business strategy.
Samsung Electronics stated, “CES 2026 will be an occasion not for simple product competition, but for reaffirming our role as a technology company that leads the direction of the AI era. Together with global partners, we will create a sustainable innovation model.”
