Kia's high-performance electric vehicle, the EV6 GT (pictured), has surpassed Tesla and Polestar's electric vehicles to claim the top spot in an evaluation by a leading German automotive magazine. This achievement is significant as it acknowledges the superior product quality of Kia's model over strong competitors in Germany, the home of the automobile.

According to Kia on the 26th, the EV6 GT ranked first overall in a recent comparison evaluation of three electric vehicle models conducted by 'Auto Motor und Sport,' one of Germany's top three automotive magazines. The EV6 GT scored a total of 597 points, comfortably surpassing the Tesla Model Y (574 points) and the Polestar 4 (550 points).

The evaluation was conducted across seven categories, including body, safety, convenience, and powertrain. The EV6 GT received the highest scores in four categories: powertrain, driving performance, safety, and body.

The powerful performance of the vehicle was particularly praised. With a maximum output of 448 kW, the EV6 GT accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, faster than its competitors.

Its braking performance, directly related to safety, was also outstanding. The stopping distance from 100 km/h to a complete halt was 33.6 meters, significantly shorter than competing models. Additionally, high-performance features such as launch control, which maximizes performance during rapid acceleration, and drift mode, which enhances driving enjoyment, contributed to the high scores.
