현대엔지니어링, 美태양광사업 4600억원 PF 조달

현대엔지니어링이 미국 태양광 발전사업 추진을 위해 3억1000만 달러(약 4600억 원) 규모의 프로젝트파이낸싱(PF) 자금을 조달했다고 29일 밝혔다. 이번 금융 약정에는 한국산업은행, 크레디아그리콜 CIB, OCBC은행, 지멘스파이낸셜서비스 등 국내외 4개 금융기관이 참여했다.

이는 미국 텍사스주 힐 카운티 ‘힐스보로 태양광 발전소’ 사업을 위한 재원이다. 힐스보로 태양광 발전소는 발전용량 200MW(메가와트) 규모로 올해 6월까지 착공, 내년 말 상업운전을 목표로 하고 있다. 현대엔지니어링 측은 “국내 건설사가 사업권 인수 후 인허가 연장, 전력판매계약(PPA), 투자 및 금융 조달까지 전 과정을 주관한 첫 해외 재생에너지 투자개발형 사업”이라고 설명했다.
