Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, met with CEOs of major LG affiliates on the 13th as part of his first official schedule during his visit to Korea to discuss strengthening cooperation in the future mobility sector.

The meeting, held at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, was attended by Jo Joo-wan, CEO of LG Electronics; Jeong Cheol-dong, CEO of LG Display; Kim Dong-myung, CEO of LG Energy Solution; Moon Hyuk-soo, CEO of LG Innotek, along with Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and Matthias Beitl, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea.

During this meeting, the management teams of both sides discussed various potential measures to realize Mercedes-Benz's future vision, such as implementing future mobility centered on electrification and establishing a flexible and sustainable global production network through digitalization and automation.

In particular, they agreed to seek new cooperation opportunities and expand technological synergy in various fields such as batteries, displays, and automotive components by combining the advanced technological capabilities of LG's major affiliates with Mercedes-Benz's innovative vehicle development capabilities.

Mercedes-Benz has maintained a close technological partnership with the LG Group. It has collaborated with LG Electronics and LG Display in developing advanced infotainment systems, including the 'MBUX Hyperscreen.'
