Stem cell specialist company MiraCell Co., Ltd. announced the development and launch of the next-generation cell-care system 'Chroma M-Cell', which applies photobiomodulation technology.

Chroma M-Cell is a system used in conjunction with MiraCell's stem cell separation and concentration equipment 'Smart M-Cell', and it is an advanced cell-care solution that maximizes the physiological activity of cells by irradiating them with customized light energy.

Chroma M-Cell is an 'LED light source irradiation device for ex vivo photobiomodulation of cell-containing biological fluids' that helps improve cell condition and enhance the efficacy and safety of stem cell procedures.

It boasts high usability as it allows medical staff to easily operate it with a one-touch operation and select four color wavelengths according to the patient's symptoms and treatment purpose.

Caring for Cells with Light... Photobiomodulation Based on Scientific Evidence

Recent research indicates that light has biological regulatory functions beyond simple illumination.

The 2023 paper by Ishihara, Courville, Chen, titled 'Complex Effects of Light on Human Metabolism', revealed that light profoundly affects overall physiological functions such as biological rhythms, hormones, mental health, metabolism, immunity, and skin health.

The 2025 paper published in Zero Science, 'Mechanisms and Applications of Photobiomodulation', also explains that photobiomodulation can contribute to maintaining tissue homeostasis and delaying aging by regulating intracellular and extracellular receptors and growth factors.

MiraCell developed Chroma M-Cell based on this scientific background under the philosophy that 'the source of stem cell vitality is light'.

Shin Hyun-soon, CEO of MiraCell, explained, “When receiving a cold intravenous injection, the body feels cold. From the patient's perspective, it would be beneficial to reduce the coldness when receiving a stem cell IV, and I have been contemplating this method for a long time.” She added, “The system developed with great effort and numerous trials and errors by researchers is Chroma M-Cell.” She continued, “Chroma M-Cell is the world's first developed product that optimizes cell condition by three-dimensionally irradiating light energy onto a stem cell IV bag. It helps stabilize the unstable state of cells exposed to external environments, and upon release, it has received enthusiastic responses from patients and medical staff.”

Chroma M-Cell can be customized with five lineups and four wavelengths according to the individual treatment purpose of the patient. △Red Light (660nm) penetrates deep skin layers for collagen and tissue recovery △Blue Light (460-475nm) acts on the epidermis for antibacterial and acne bacteria suppression △Yellow Light (585-590nm) is suitable for improving swelling, redness, and blood flow through circulatory system stimulation △Green Light (525-530nm) is expected to have effects such as liver function recovery and immune enhancement through immune and detox actions.
