In anticipation of the '2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit' to be held in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do from October 31 to November 1, the government, Gyeongsangbuk-do, businesses, and citizens are making concerted efforts in preparation. Now, only the task of successfully showcasing their unified efforts to the world remains.

The preparation for this event involved numerous participants centered around the host city, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do, described it as "the greatest celebration in 1,300 years since the unification of the Three Kingdoms." Gyeongsangbuk-do is determined to make this APEC Summit an opportunity to enhance the national brand value, rather than merely a diplomatic event. Volunteers gathered in Gyeongju are ready to welcome guests from around the world.

Businesses have also completed their preparations for APEC. Samsung Electronics will unveil the 'Tri-fold Phone,' a smartphone that folds twice, at the 'K-Tech' side event. SK Group, with Chairman Chey Tae-won serving as the chair of the APEC CEO Summit, will host the Future Tech Forum to showcase Korea's artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to the world. Hyundai Motor Group has supported three meetings, including the APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting, with eco-friendly vehicles such as hydrogen and electric cars. LG Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the APEC Preparation Planning Team and has been conducting domestic and international promotional activities.
