Hankook & Company Group announced on the 19th that it has completed the enhancement of its company-wide Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) infrastructure in collaboration with global data and AI company Databricks.
This collaboration is a core execution task of the AX strategy being pursued under Chairman Cho Hyun-bum's vision of advancing into a global high-tech group.
Hankook & Company Group adopted Databricks' 'Data Intelligence Platform' as its company-wide integrated data platform and completed the process of gradually transferring and stabilizing key data over three months. The main feature is the transition from a decentralized structure to a centralized system.
Additionally, the group applied 'Databricks SQL', an AI-based data warehouse, and 'Unity Catalog', which integrates management of data access rights and security, significantly improving accessibility, security, and management efficiency.
With this transition, Hankook & Company Group will operate its company-wide data in an integrated manner on a single platform. Through this, it expects to achieve effects such as ▲enhancement of the analysis environment ▲ensuring data transparency ▲improving the speed and accuracy of data-driven decision-making.
Kim Sung-jin, Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital Officer of Hankook & Company Group, emphasized, “The core of AI-based innovation ultimately lies in data,” and added, “Through collaboration with Databricks, we have unified the group's data and established a digital foundation to lead the era of Agent AI.”
