On the 24th (local time), Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Euisun visited NVIDIA’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California, United States, and met with CEO Jensen Huang to discuss cooperation plans in future mobility and artificial intelligence (AI).

This meeting was arranged as a follow-up discussion on the cooperative agendas on which the two sides reached a consensus during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Korea in June. The two companies are reported to have held in-depth discussions on ways to expand cooperation across a wide range of future technology fields, including autonomous driving, robotics, manufacturing AI, as well as data centers and AI infrastructure construction.

Previously, on June 8, CEO Jensen Huang visited Hyundai Motor Group’s headquarters in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, and held talks with Executive Chair Chung, during which they exchanged views on the creation of a future AI ecosystem and advanced manufacturing innovation, including the Saemangeum AI Valley development project.

Hyundai Motor Group plans to invest a total of KRW 9 trillion in phases starting this year on a 1,124,000㎡ site in Saemangeum, North Jeolla Province, to establish an innovation-driven growth hub for future technologies encompassing robotics, AI, hydrogen energy, solar power generation, and an AI-based hydrogen city.

Through strategic cooperation with NVIDIA, Hyundai Motor Group intends to further strengthen its competitiveness in future core technologies such as software-defined vehicles (SDV), autonomous driving, smart factories, and next-generation robotics, while continuously expanding collaboration aimed at building a global AI ecosystem.
