Doosan Enerbility, which has successively won orders for turbine generators to be installed in artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, posted first-quarter (January–March) sales of KRW 4,261.1 billion and operating profit of KRW 233.5 billion. Compared with the same period last year, sales increased by 13.7% and operating profit by 63.9%.

Doosan Enerbility announced its earnings on the 29th, stating, “Orders for gas turbines and steam turbines continued both at home and abroad, and in particular, we achieved these results by securing consecutive orders for data center turbines in the North American region.”

The company’s performance is expected to continue to rise. This year alone, it has received new orders totaling KRW 2,785.7 billion, 61.9% more than in the same period last year, and as of the end of the first quarter it still had a backlog (undetermined revenue that can be realized as future sales) of KRW 24,134.3 billion remaining.

The company expects that, in addition to turbine generators, an increase in supply contracts for small modular reactor (SMR) equipment, along with continued contracts for overseas gas combined-cycle EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) projects and offshore wind power, will bring total orders this year to KRW 13,300 billion.
