PharmaResearch is moving to expand its portfolio into the obstetrics and gynecology sector based on its DNA Optimization Technology (DOT) patent.

PharmaResearch announced on the 7th that it has launched “Zyner,” an adhesive transparent wound dressing that uses its proprietary DOT PN (Polynucleotide) technology.

“Zyner” can be applied to the female perineal area and is used to prevent skin damage by applying it to wound areas with minor bleeding or low exudate.

The company explained that this new product is the first case of extending DOT PN-based technology, which has previously been used mainly for skin, into the obstetrics and gynecology field. PharmaResearch plans to broaden its application scope to areas such as the female perineum, where there is both high sensitivity and a continued need for specialized care, thereby expanding its potential use within obstetrics and gynecology.

The company is also working to establish a clinical foundation. On March 31, PharmaResearch held the “A.R.I.A Leaders Forum,” an academic exchange program for obstetrics and gynecology professionals. The forum featured discussions on the potential obstetric and gynecologic applications of DOT PN, directions for its practical clinical use, market demand, and future development prospects, as well as the sharing of clinical experience and insights among medical professionals.

A PharmaResearch official stated, “Zyner is a new option for areas that require more delicate care, and it is expected to meet women’s diverse care needs,” adding, “We will continue academic exchanges with medical staff in the obstetrics and gynecology field and consistently introduce products that can contribute to improving women’s health and quality of life.”

Meanwhile, PharmaResearch is developing and selling pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, and health functional foods using PDRN and PN substances based on DOT. Its main products include Rejuran, Rejuvenex, Conjuran, and Rejuran Cosmetic.
