The Korean Society of Biomimetic Dentistry, a corporation, announced on the 1st that it held the Autumn Academic Conference on the 29th of last month at the Conference Hall of Minish Dental Hospital in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with more than 60 attendees, including society members and industry officials.

Established in 2023 to research treatment methods that mimic the structure and properties of natural teeth, the Society introduced specific clinical procedures based on biomimetic theory at this conference and shared industry trends such as the rise of the anti-aging field and the use of data and artificial intelligence (AI).

In the trend sector, Director Kim Yong-seok introduced the anatomical approach to the use of Botox, skin boosters, and fillers under the theme of 'Anti-aging in Dentistry.'

In the clinical field, Director Yoon Pil-sang of Minish Dental Hospital presented clinical cases related to changes in tooth height under the theme of 'Minish in Patients with Erosive Tooth Wear.' Director Lee Sang-gil of Minish Dental Hospital announced a new minimally invasive prep method that preserves the transparent texture and shape of natural teeth.

The industry sector emphasized AI and data. Lee Jin-hyung, CEO of Data Marketing Korea, suggested the necessity of technology convergence through the ecosystem and application cases of generative AI such as Gemini and ChatGPT.

Kang Jung-ho, CEO of Minish Technology, introduced a plan to build a 'Dental Health Ecosystem' encompassing prevention, recovery, and anti-aging fields and emphasized the need to prepare for changes in the dental industry brought by data-driven AI solutions such as customer relationship management (CRM) and AI design programs.

Kim Tae-hoon, President of the Korean Society of Biomimetic Dentistry, stated, "It was a meaningful occasion to discuss the clinical application of Minish based on biomimetic theory and the direction of future dentistry," and added, "We will enhance the quality of dental treatment through continuous cooperation between academia and industry."
