Seegene Medical Foundation announced on the 18th that it participated in the '2025 Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine International Conference (LMCE 2025 & KSLM 66th Annual Meeting, hereafter LMCE 2025)' held from October 29 to 31 at the Inspire Convention Center in Incheon, showcasing the latest technologies and global business vision in the diagnostic testing field.

LMCE 2025, under the theme 'Inspiration & Innovation,' is an international academic conference that explores the innovative future of laboratory medicine and facilitates exchanges among experts from around the world. The three-day event featured three keynote speeches, core lectures, 24 symposiums, and 15 educational workshops.

Seegene Medical Foundation operated a booth to introduce its advanced technology infrastructure, including the world's first fully automated molecular diagnostic PCR testing system (CURECA), an AI-based research environment, and the next-generation laboratory information system 'SeeLIS.'

Additionally, they introduced 'SeeNIPT,' a test method for screening fetal chromosomal numerical abnormalities, and the 'MAST 176 Allergy Test,' which can broadly identify allergens from pet hair and dander to food, pollen, mold, drugs, and metals.

Choi Jong-moon, Senior Medical Director of Molecular Genetics at Seegene Medical Foundation, conducted an educational workshop on the topic 'Implementation and Performance of VeriSeq NIPT: Laboratory Experience.' In his lecture, he shared the process of applying the next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) solution 'VeriSeq' in actual laboratory settings and its performance evaluation results, introducing the clinical value of the latest prenatal genetic testing technology.

Furthermore, Min Do-sik, Medical Director of Seegene Medical Foundation, co-chaired the 'Education Course for Clinical Pathologists (SY 02-2)' session with Professor Park Do-sim of Wonkwang University School of Medicine. The session focused on topics used in actual clinical settings, such as the collection, transportation, and preprocessing of microbiological test samples, interpretation of autoimmune antibody tests, transfusion management case activities, and molecular diagnostic techniques for genetic diseases.

Seegene Medical Foundation took the opportunity of participating in LMCE 2025 to announce the achievements of its subsidiary 'Open Healthcare (OHC)' in global medical business. Open Healthcare, established by Seegene Medical Foundation in July 2023 as an overseas medical business entity, recently opened the 'Korean Medical Center (KMC),' the largest Korean-style medical institution in Central Asia, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is also expanding its global healthcare business by operating diagnostic testing centers in Los Angeles, USA; Almaty, Kazakhstan; and Hanoi, Vietnam.

Cheon Jong-gi, Chairman of Seegene Medical Foundation, stated, "LMCE 2025 was a meaningful event to discuss the future of laboratory medicine with domestic and international experts and share the foundation's global vision," and added, "We plan to strengthen our role as a trusted global disease testing specialized medical institution through diagnostic technology innovation and global business expansion in the future."
