The domestic pet pharmaceutical brand YourVet announced the successful development of the 4th generation oral probiotic 'MeltingBioticsX'.

'MeltingBioticsX' is a 4th generation oral probiotic developed by combining a next-generation strain researched and developed by the Seoul National University School of Dentistry research team with YourVet's patented oral care ingredient 'MeltingPlagueX'.

According to YourVet, existing oral probiotic strains have limitations such as not significantly improving the oral environment through the proliferation of beneficial bacteria in the mouth and having a short duration due to low adhesion rates. In contrast, the raw strain of MeltingBioticsX, when ingested, attaches to oral epithelial cells, teeth, and harmful bacteria, blocking contact between harmful bacteria and oral tissues, showing high adhesion rates and long-term prevention effects of oral diseases. Additionally, by integrating 'MeltingPlagueX', the oral environment improvement effect has also been enhanced.

A representative from the YourVet research center stated, “Unlike existing oral care ingredients, this can be a fundamental solution to correcting the microbial imbalance in pets' mouths,” and added, “As the raw strain is listed on the US FDA GRAS, its safety is excellent, and we are quickly preparing for patent application.”
