Ulsan-based battery materials specialist iChemical showcased next-generation eco-friendly material technology at the 'K-Battery Show 2025 Secondary Battery Materials, Parts, and Equipment Exhibition' held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from the 10th to the 12th.

At this exhibition, iChemical unveiled a CMC-modified aqueous binder for lithium battery anodes. This product has been recognized for its excellent chemical stability and mechanical properties and has been selected as a national strategic superior technology product. Patent applications are currently underway in the United States and Europe.

The company also announced a new sulfur-based solid electrolyte binder product. This technology is characterized by its fire safety, chemical stability, and mechanical strength, with electrical property testing currently in progress. iChemical stated that it plans to complete prototype development early next year and proceed to commercialization.

During the event, iChemical received requests for performance test samples from major domestic battery companies and is continuing discussions on potential applications.
