Medical AI platform specialist Holmes AI (홈즈AI) announced on the 2nd that it will join “NVIDIA Inception,” NVIDIA’s global startup support program.
NVIDIA Inception is a program that discovers and nurtures startups with innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and high-performance computing (HPC). It comprehensively evaluates companies’ technological capabilities, market scalability, and business sustainability.
NVIDIA provides selected companies with a range of technical benefits, including GPU optimization support, technology consulting, and access to the latest development resources and training programs. It also supports their business growth foundation through assistance in utilizing NVIDIA’s hardware and software, connections to a global venture capital network, and expanded partnership opportunities.
Holmes AI is developing a medical AI platform that combines AI and IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) technologies to support early prediction and prevention of geriatric diseases such as heart disease and cerebrocardiovascular disease, as well as prognosis prediction for patients at admission and discharge. In particular, it has commercialized AI-based diagnostic medical devices in collaboration with domestic medical professionals, including the Healthcare AI Research Institute of Seoul National University Hospital. The platform is currently provided to hospitals and medical institutions.
Holmes AI’s medical AI platform is a self-diagnosis solution that can supplement or replace existing high-cost diagnostic methods. It is assessed as delivering tangible clinical value to both medical staff and patients through precision analysis using medical AI algorithms.
The company is also expanding its business into home medical and caregiving services. It is developing an AI-based monitoring platform for patients in areas of unmet medical need who face a high risk of acute complications after surgery or anticancer treatment. The platform continuously collects vital signs in the home environment and integrates them with clinical information to predict the risk of complications at an early stage.
Leveraging its selection for the Inception program, Holmes AI plans to pursue AI model optimization and hardware performance enhancement, and to use NVIDIA’s global network to advance overseas expansion and broaden strategic partnerships. Lee Kwang-hyun, Head of Future Growth Office at Holmes AI, said, “The selection for the NVIDIA Inception program is a case in which the technological competitiveness of a Korean medical AI company has been recognized in the global market,” adding, “Using our New York office as a base, this will be an important starting point for driving Holmes AI’s global growth.”
